Description

Dr Malcolm Nattrass has developed an extensive knowledge of different types of Salvia over many years and has successfully propagated most of the varieties in his own garden. He is also an experienced lecturer.

The owners have created their lovely garden from a field over the last 20 years. As well as countless varieties of Salvias and Dahlias, it has a wealth of unusual trees and shrubs, plus large herbaceous borders, vegetable area and 2 large deep ponds. The Genus Salvia comprises a very large family of almost 1000 species. Malcolm will explain the different types and their respective growing requirements, as well as demonstrating the best ways to propagate them. After lunch we will look at Dahlias and how best to prepare them for Winter.

Please bring your own packed lunch. Tea/coffee and home-made cake provided.

Please bring secateurs & a notebook, gloves, plus weather-appropriate clothing.
