On-Line – Perspective Drawing – Bring your design to life!

£35.00£45.00

Description

Anna Ribo is a planting designer, garden advisor and gardening and sketching teacher. She used to be head gardener at the gardens at Long Barn but now focuses on her own practice and projects as well as offering sketching lessons 1-1 and in small groups and freelance planting plans for other professionals. Her work is unashamedly plant based.

In this course, we will focus on demystifying perspective drawing. We will look at terms such as horizon lines, vanishing points, one point perspective and atmospheric perspective. Starting from basic principles, there will be exercises to give you the confidence to practice. Adding a third dimension to your sketches can really bring them to life and help clients visualise the suggested garden. With a few simple tricks, you can create a real sense of space to your sketches and make them feel much more real. It also helps you to get a sense of the space you are designing and to try out ideas. This course is aimed at beginners and anyone who wishes to refresh their perspective drawing skills.

Materials:
You will need pencils, rubber, pencil sharpener, a ruler and a scale ruler, fineliner pens in two different thicknesses, (for instance 005 and 2 or 2 and 5), A3 paper (layout/photocopy etc) and a couple of sheets of tracing paper. Tape for fastening your sketches and a set square is also useful.

You will need a suitable PC/Laptop/MAC with camera and will need to download the free Zoom App from their website.

The cost for this specialist workshop is £35 per WFGA member, £45 non WFGA member and takes place from 6pm-8pm

Note:  We do not currently record any of our online workshops or talks.
