Description
Hever Castle is famously the childhood home of Anne Boleyn and is a moated castle set in 30 acres of formal and natural landscape. The gardens include topiary, herb garden, Italian gardens, lake and a walled garden with more than 3000 roses.
Arrive for a 10 am start to lift and divide some of the herbaceous plants; plus cut back grasses in the historical gardens at Hever Castle, with a group of other horticultural students. Attendees will be guided in the correct technique for vegetative propagation, cutting back grasses and the replanting of the plants.
You are welcome to arrive from 09:30 ready to start at 10am. Please meet at the Lake Restaurant.
Lunch can be purchased in the cafe, a special deal on soup and a roll will be offered as well as discounted prices on other hot meals. Alternatively please bring a packed lunch.
You will need to bring secateurs, a small handfork, weather appropriate clothing and suitable footwear.
