Description
Hever Castle is the childhood home of Anne Boleyn – moated castle set in 30 acres of formal and natural landscape. Topiary, herb garden, Italian gardens, lake and a walled garden with more than 300 roses.
Meet at 9.30-10 am Point of meeting to be arranged nearer the time, due to Hever Castle being closed. The aim of the day is to teach attendees how to prune the fruit trees at Hever Castle for a bumper crop of fruit the following year.
The day will end around 3pm NB Times may vary slightly according to numbers, weather and task.
You are welcome to arrive from 09:30 ready to start at 10am, the meeting point to be decided nearer the time.
Please bring sharp secateurs, suitable footwear, and clothing for weather. The cafe will be closed so please bring a packed lunch and drinks that you will need.
