Planning A Cutting Garden
Saturday 3rd March
Some 80% of the flowers bought in Britain are imported, from as far afield as Colombia and Kenya, which seems such a shame when, with our great climate for growing, most of the flower varieties we buy - and many more - could be grown locally.
At JW Blooms in Somerset they've been growing English cut flowers, using the no-dig method, since 2008. On this half-day course, Jan Waters will guide you through planning a cutting patch, explaining what to grow and when, to give you a continuous supply of flowers throughout the season.
