Description
A Wonderful Castle in the heart of Lincolnshire. Grimsthorpe is an historic house, park & garden with intricate parterres marked with box hedges lying close to the Castle, and a dramatic herbaceous border frames views across the lake. This event offers an opportunity to visit one of the most northerly sites of the Duke of Burgundy butterfly and learn about its habitat requirements.
Join the Head of Gardens & Landscape and his team at Grimsthorpe Castle and assist with one of their major habitat restoration projects. The day will include a briefing on the habits and needs of the rare Duke of Burgundy Butterfly and then working to clear the grasses and old growth from the site.
After lunch attendees will enjoy a guided tour of the gardens with the Head Gardener.
