Description
Your tutor for the day is Timothy Walker – lecturer in Plant Sciences at Somerville College Oxford, botanist, gardener, author and was Horti Praefectus and Director of the Oxford Botanic Garden.
This highly informative workshop will start by looking at the history, purpose and theory behind plant classification. Next, Tim will focus on the main groups of land plants and their life cycles. He will conclude by looking at some of the major families of flowering plants and how they can be identified quickly.
Tim is a fantastic tutor and we have received much enthusiast feedback following his previous workshops. In addition, the subjects covered during the day are highly relevant to those planning to take RHS 2 or 3.
